Shoots 'n' What?

I just got back from the other side of Kosovo. The Germans and Austrians hosted us for a Schutzenschnur qualification. Basically, it's their marksmanship award, and foreign soldiers can earn it.

I got bronze because there was only time for our group, who went last, to shoot two out of the three weapons. I might go back to try to get the gold, but the experience was the main point. Aside from firing the German service weapons, we shot Austrian weapons, including a nice big (50 cal) gun mounted to their attack vehicle. I got a video as proof.

It was a long, hot day, but fun to hang out with different folks at a different scene. It's back to the regular grind tomorrow.

  1. Awww...please send our regards to PFC Semudio. Very cool, babe. We should add gun lessons to our to-do list of things to accomplish when you come home.
